11 September 2020
At 15 o'clock on September 10, 2020, the first tons of sugar beet began to arrive at the production workshops of the Gorodeya Sugar Refinery, where the next, 61st season of sweet root processing started. The plant has come to life... Work is raging at the sites where everyone strives to fulfill their specific task in the general production cycle sugar beet-sugar-sand. Work is in full swing at the beet plant. The cars are on schedule, so that the cars delivering sugar beets directly from the fields can work productively on shipment. Cars loaded with sweet root crops, one by one, drive up to the scrap site, where the first assessment of the quality of incoming raw materials takes place. Then, bypassing the weighing room, some trucks are sent to the raw materials laboratory, where they are taken to study the main quality characteristics (total contamination and sugar content) of raw materials samples, and the human factor is minimized at this stage – everything is controlled by a robotic complex. Other heavy trucks follow to the kagat fields, where unloading takes place, and mountains of root crops begin to grow. Here, the burto-laying machines, carefully prepared during the repair campaign, work in an uninterrupted rhythm. During the reconstruction, in the summer of last year, a dry beet feed line was installed and installed here. The equipment supplied by Akorim LLC and the international group of companies Putsch has already been involved in the transportation of sugar beet to the sink for its further processing. Acceptance of sugar beet of the new crop at JSC «Gorodeya Sugar Refinery» has been going on since September 8. The first to supply root crops were the farms of the Nesvizh and Dzerzhinsk districts, as well as the PUP PIK-LESNOYE of the Kopylsky district. At the time of the plant's launch, about 15,000 tons of sugar beet were received at the «Gorodeya Sugar Refinery».
Anatoly Buben, chairman of the Belarusian State Concern of the Food Industry «Belgospishcheprom», visited JSC «Gorodeya Sugar Refinery» on September 11 to get acquainted with the work of the enterprise, and a film crew of STV also arrived. On the same day, by 20:00, the city residents also received the first sugar from the beet harvest of 2020. A large amount of work awaits our sugar growers ahead: this year it is planned to process at least 1 million 180 thousand tons of sugar beet and produce at least 170 thousand tons of sugar.
We congratulate the employees of JSC «Gorodeya Sugar Refinery» on the next start-up and wish them successful and fruitful work! After all, it is in your hands that there is an opportunity to make life a little sweeter!
There is a long tradition: before launching a ship, a special ritual is performed — a bottle of champagne is broken on its side. Everyone says: For good luck. When launching the Gorodeya Sugar Refinery, General Director Igor Nikolaevich Makar did not forget this tradition, therefore, the open new season of beet processing should be successful.
Good luck and seven feet under the keel to the City flagship!
